Emergency Care

The Emergency Department is a Trauma Level I unit, with a 24-hour nursing staff and coverage by Homer Memorial Hospital doctors. A major emergency treatment room, along with a minor emergency treatment room, endoscopy room and a cast room allow for the treatment of a broad range of medical emergencies. Should a patient need broad more extensive care, however, air transport to three major medical centers in nearby Shreveport is immediately accessible.
